Hope For Haiti

February 17, 2010

I’m sure all of you are aware of the earthquake that took place on January 12, 2010. It was a 7.0 The Haitian Government reports that between 217,000 and 230,000 people had been identified as dead, an estimated 300,000 injured, and an estimated 1,000,000 homeless. Haiti is a 4th world country, the poorest of them all. Most of the people there were already living in bad conditions and then came along this massive earthquake. The people there had to live in very small huts with a lot of other people with them. Most people there don’t believe in birth control whic means they have many children. This kind of living is unimagineable for most of us. The people there are now left with literally nothing. Most of us don’t even think about it when we go to sleep in our warm comfortable beds and get up in the morning and put on our fresh clothes. Most of us take that stuff for granted.
